media producers define and categorise their audience through demographics profiles . A demographic audience profile defines groups based on things like age,gender ,income ,education and occupation. with audience profiling i feel like it gives you more of a chance to get to a certain audience whereas with demographics it does the same thing just not as good .
Media companies and advertisers use audience profiling as well as demographics in order to ensure that whatever they are trying to sell or attract audiences with best suits the likes of their target audience
